Clube Atlantico/ Bella Vita

Absolutely fabulous food, lovely for a special occassion or when you want to treat yourself. Great for a romantic dinner,
But don't get the wrong idea, this restaurant offers value for money. The menu and quality of food is like nothing else you will get in Carvoeiro. The food is a combination of italian pasta, fish and meat. The waiters are incredibly proffessional but never haughty and really want to make your visit enjoyable. Booking is always advisable and it can get very busy during the season so book several days ahead at least. The restaurant is in the Clube Atlantico complex and the restaurant overlooks the pool.

REVIEW

Superb

We recently visited Bella Vita and had a most enjoyable evening. The staff were friendly and attentive & the food superb. Although not the cheapest, an excellent choice for a special occasion and now firmly in our top three restaurants in the area. Another advantage is that it is a pleasant 15 minute walk from Rocha Brava.

Mama Mia

Bella Vita goes from strength to strength. Over the years we must have eaten here dozens of times, and rarely have we been dissappointed. This time it was as good as ever, nay even better. This place has style with excellent staff who are friendly but stay in the background. The food prepared in the true Italian way is attractive and packed with flavour. What more do you want? Well you could finish off with a glass of Grappa. and retire and have pleasant dreams. Some people complain about the slow service and i would say so what .. you are out for a night to enjoy a leisurely meal with hopefully sparkling conversation. If that is not the case go and get a carry out........

nice place to go

the pastas were really well cooked and the fish was nicely presented. The only thing is that we think the decoration and lighting inside are a bit cold. food is exelent and the portions are not so huge.

A Very Special Restaurant

Simply one of THE best restaurants in Carvoeiro. As previously stated, the setting is within the Club Atlantico and the restaurant overlooks the pool. Not sure how busy the view would be during the day, but in the evening it is peaceful and quiet. This is silver service at its best, the waiters are attentive but not pompous and they actually go out of their way to make sure you have what you want. nice to children as well. The food is excellent and whilst the specials are quite expensive they are gorgeous (better not to ask what they are, unless you feel like a treat) All of the Pastas have a twist and are different from the norm. Don't get the impression however that this is a pizza and pasta restaurant because although they do a selection, the main courses centre around other italian specialities. and the deserts are to die for. The chef coming out to meet us at the end of the meal was 'Kitch' but I liked it.

REVIEW

By far the BEST Italian restaurant in the area!

I confess that I approached this restaurant on a couple of occasions and backed away because I have an aversion to restaurants on villa developments. A friend persuaded me that Bella Vita was well worth the effort, and how right she was! From the first impression to the last, everything was right. The decor, the atmosphere, the food, the staff and level of service....all spot on. My test of any Italian restarant is bruschetta. Though it wasnt on the menu, I asked for it, and they were pleased to oblige. Oblige they did with the best and tastiest bruschetta I have ever eaten. A simple dish, but SO easy to get wrong. All the main courses were superb. My veal in lemon sauce was wonderful. The sauce tangy not over-sweet. The desserts to die for. I expected the wine to be expensive, but they weren't. We had a lovely Pinot and a Chianti. Both less than 15 euros a bottle. The bill? Something over 40 euros a head, but well worth it. The final touch, the chef coming out of his kitchen to say goodnight like we were his new best friends. Kitch....but what the hell.....a stylish finish to a memorable night.
